Welcome to Project: Gorgon!

Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.

The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.

Minor UI Tweak and Combat Change

So I may be a bit of a newbie when it comes to this game but there are a few idea I would like to put forward and see what others think about them so here they are.

This is more of a personal gripe but add a settings window that allows you to choose what windows the escape key closes. So many times Ive had a series of windows open (crafting/inventory/quest) to mash the escape key to close them only to have it also take out my pet window and my chat. Yeah it's a minor thing but the amount of times I have done it and had to reopen my chat or forget to reopen my pet window and have it die is just annoying. I'm not sure that it would be a huge change but giving us a setting to select which windows will be closed when you hit escape would be nice.

The second and much less thought out idea would be to remove the basic attack 'skill' and instead make it an auto attack. How auto attacks would work is that your primary skill set dictates your auto attack and once you use an opening attack/spell your auto attack will begin going off on the targeted npc, think of it like a dot that continues until the target is dead. The refresh you get every 15 seconds will stay every 15 seconds but will not give you a temporary buff that makes your next attack cost zero power as well as restore the same amount of health/armor/power as it normally does. This will have a double bonus of freeing up a slot for another primary skill as well as give some more power control to the player.

The escape change is the primary idea id like to see implemented, but the auto attack thing I have been thinking about for a while so i figured I would post it and see what others think about it.

Yes, I have the same problem. Except I never figured out it was Escape causing it - I thought my chat and pet windows were just randomly disappearing.

Maybe something like a lock button on each window that would prevent it being closed by Escape? Or rather than customizing things, just make the pet and chat windows not closable by Escape? To me, it seems that Escape is more for quickly shutting down temporary windows, and pet and chat feel more like permanent UI parts...

( I don't think we really need an auto-attack. I rather like the current system, especially when I realize I'm running low on power because I've been forgetting to hit my combat refresh again....)
