Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.
So far i've been playing Project Gorgon for a little over a week; the player base has been nothing but friendly to me. The learning curve was a little bit difficult, after i got off the island I had to start asking some questions. However i do enjoy the aspect that the game does not hold your hand, the game rewards you for dying in different ways, as well as the freedom to explore pretty much anywhere. ( so far i haven't felt like I was funneled anywhere!), Accessing South Serbule, Eltibule, the Crypt, the Myconian Cave, and pretty much any dungeon so far I was free to do on my own. Not once have i got a message that says " you cannot go here at this time, until you complete the quest." or, " you must be level 20 to go in this cave"..., the typical stuff you get in most MMO's, I like that aspect about the game so far. I also like how the game warns you before you fight a boss.
I'll be sure to actively post more, when i have more experience in the game. I told a family member and a friend about the game ~ still trying to get them into the game, its tough. There's a lot of competition in gaming these days, lots are addicted to other games or are busy with work. Such as life X_X
~Thanks to all who were kind and helpful to me
P.S. I remember seeing the message in-game that we can no longer back the game on kickstarter; which is unfortunate. I wanted to back it, and had just gotten paid this morning haha. I would think supporting the game would last until at least beta, but oh well.

I think that's just an old, old message that hasn't gotten removed from the game yet. I remember getting a popup like that in Eltibule Keep a couple times. As ShieldBreaker pointed out, you can contribute via the Gorgon Shop now. ( Or the Donate link next to it, if you just want to donate without getting future benefits for yourself.)
And welcome to the game! I'm glad you are having fun! ( And if you find something that will lure your friends and family into playing PG, do let me know. I'm still trying with mine. )
