Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.
Sims' Barfight will basically be a large zerg run. Most, if not all the large guilds (including, but not limited to; HO, DOM, AOF, Guardians of Asgard, and Asheron's Legacy) will be coming together each week to host a dungeon run where we use numbers rather than strategy to complete a dungeon.
What's the point of it?
So, what's the point of doing a zerg run nowadays if no one gets loot?
Well, the main focus of these dungeon runs will not be about loot. When I was arranging this, what I had in mind was offering people a change of pace. Instead of going through a dungeon the normal way, (having one person pull, and the others carefully follow behind) you can run in naked and drunk if you want, and pull an entire room of enemies.
How can you join?
I will be hosting this event every Saturday at 4PM EST, starting with this upcoming Saturday. If you're interested in joining, send me a tell in-game, or join the room zerg by typing /join zerg 10-30 minutes before the event starts.
We had a great time doing this on Sunday. Brought back old memories of when we used to all get together and do this on a regular basis. In my opinion it brought some fun and excitement back into the game.
After the group limitations and loot changes things like this stopped happening. Even Druid events went down hill and plenty of people have stepped away from the game.
So well done Sims on organizing this. Looking forward to this every weekend
This seems a little bit of an ethical dilemma to me. I really want to go and probably play lute, but will we not be thwarting the will of Citan. Is the lack of loot the only consideration, or is how it is supposed to be played of greater importance. I like zerg, but i don't think we should if it will lead to coded dungeon run restriction having to be added to curtail us. Fun and easy vs possible scolding and future consequences. It is like the whole devil and angel on the shoulder thing, one is saying "Storm the dungeon, woohoo!!!" and the other is like "Is it nice to play this way when it seems fairly clear that it wrong?" But my willpower is probably too weak not to zerg, so unless we happen to hear grumbling from the powers that be, I'll probably show up. Please forgive me devs.
