How do you level up armor patching not sure what im doing wrong
Armor patching works just like First Aid.
For both, you need to have kits. First Aid kits and Armo Patching kits can be bought when you start out. And you need the skill to use them. To get started, go to skills, and take the top option that shows all you special skills. Scroll down to armor patching and drag the skill icon over to your sidebar. (Not the kit itself, confusing as they look the same. It needs to be the skill on you side bar.)
In combat, you can use the AP skill on your sidebar to regain some of your lost armor. When the fight ends, you will recieve XP for armor patching and level up the skill.
Higher skill lets you use better kits that let you regain more armor.
Thank You! That really Helped me!
So is there a way to improve skills quickly?
word hurdle
For armor patching, the best method is just use it in every battle, along with first aid. Both will level quite quickly. Example: You kill a goblin with sword and shield and get 100 points in sword, and 100 points in shield. If you used armor patching and first aid you would also have gotten 100 each in those skills.
I feel like there needs to be a window where armor patching/first aid backlogs XP. It feels a bit unnatural to have to use the skill BEFORE you take armor damage to maximize the XP you get toward the skill.
Example you pull 10-12 mobs in Kur Tower, including a couple of the Skele Warrior types, all the zombies/chickens die before you ever use armor patching/first aid, you tend to only get XP from the skeletons and the random mage or two. It would be nice if that XP was "stored" somewhere and given to you at the end of combat, and not just if you use the skills before hand, and if they are on CD.
It's a minor gripe, and AP/FA are still fairly easy to level, but there is this awkward range where the what should be the BEST mobs to give you XP are often the worst for leveling PA/FA. After all it's better XP to kill a lots of mobs that can just barely hurt you, than a few mobs that really hurt you. So you just tend to miss large chunks of XP the skills could be earning unless you go aoe down huge packs of mobs that can't hurt you at all.

It's a 60 second window for all combat skills, this includes first aid, armor patching, sigil scripting, crossbow, and survival instincts, and possibly more in the future.
They all stack too so if you use all before a kill you get exp in them all respectively.
