Welcome to Project: Gorgon!

Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.

The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.

I waited some time before giving feedback, hoping for bug fixes and they did come! So, better late than never, here goes.

In general I think that Povus is very well done. The terrain, the mechanics, the quests and everything is general seems to have been carefully designed and in my opinion is quite successful. This is including, of course, the last changes made to the city quests, and how city storage works.

Giving the zone an overall score of 9.5/10, I have a few issues:
    • It is pretty easy to max favor with Mope, and open its storage. However, considering where it's located, this a druid-or-warden-only storage. I don't mind wardens having a little bonus, but druids... They have it wayyy too easy already. So, I was disappointed to see that I can't see access to Mope storage next to the city storage, like NPC storage in other zones, or with libraries.
    • The southern part of the zone seems quite unused, but maybe I should just explore it more.
    • When Povus was added it was mentioned that one can reach level 85 with synergy bonuses, so I expected them to appear. Nothing so far.

I haven't seriously started Armorsmithing so won't comment on that.

Animal Husbandry is fine, maybe a bit slow to skill up but I'm not terribly interested in bees and wasps as pets. When we have access to other pet types I hope to be ready and that won't be an issue.

There is however a problem with wild bees and wasps. They seem to have very little genetic variety, and it took me many tries to find a bee with two genes deviating from the standard pattern. And then I realized that capturing a new bee to add "fresh blood" to my genetic pool is very expensive, compared to what it should be when we can do it with rats, cats and bears.

A Bee Lovers' Bouquet every time?! I think that's a problem in the long run, and I fear people will be turned away from seriously breeding bees by the perspective of having to hunt for hundreds and hundreds of bees then spend hundreds of bouquets to capture them. But time will tell of course.

Finally, I'm no fan of slowed-down animations. They fall in my opinion in the same category as mob evasion used to: an idea to toy with, but that players seem to hate.
