Snail shells: the battle against farming low level mobs continues
Welcome to Project: Gorgon!
Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.
Snail shells: the battle against farming low level mobs continues
I think some great strides have been made with the transmutation rework and the venison/steak/meat changes, in an effort to stop high level players farming lower leveled mobs.
But what about.... snails!?
Everyone's favorite mollusk still dominates the fields of Eltibule, the scrumptious morsels camping out in what to an intrepid adventurer like myself views to be one piece in the fulfillment of a long list of snail-related work orders.
Just today i apparently upset someone so much by farming snails in Elt, that he had to call his guildmaster to private message me asking me to stop farming (well actually he said "is there anything we can do about it?"). I mean sure a simple "/n excuse me" might have worked, but why not involve the big guns. XD
Anyways, i'm not the worst of the worst. If i feel like i'm bothering someone i'll stop, but i'm not a mind reader and i think the best solution is to address this in a similar vein to the above-mentioned changes: disincentivize the activity.
Maybe give that geyser slug some 50ish-level snail buddies? I don't know the solution; of course there are several approaches.
I just thought i'd bring this up since i feel just awful about all the newbies whose nerves i was apparently getting on. For shame, alleryn, for shame!
