Saw a release is near, still interested in a non-Steam version - info pls?
Welcome to Project: Gorgon!
Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.

Greetings,
I did some playtesting for the game in 2018. We were testing stand-alone clients back then.
I'm one of the people who didn't want to play the game through Steam (or any game through Steam).
So once you moved the game to Steam I had to stop connecting through the client.
Word is... there is an official release coming soon, so does this mean the stand-alone client for Linux will be returning?
I know not many people share my opinion (on likes and dislikes) but I have been patient so figure this is a milestone worth asking for information about the possible connection clients.
I still have interest in playing the game (even though I've waited over 5 years to do it) so decided to check in to learn if that client will be something on the horizon or in progress.
Thanks for any responses - Please don't tell me to go to Discord to ask because I like it even less than Steam... I know... I know but I just refuse to give them a phone number, ok.
