Welcome to Project: Gorgon!

Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.

The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.

Wow. Thank you for this old video. I started playing the game in 2014 and I didn't recognize most of what was in the video. Buildings were different, UI was different, loot screen was different, teleport was different. I was especially shocked at how different Serb was set up in 2013. As you were going through the town, I was trying to figure out where exactly you were. I had no clue. There were no landmarks that helped.

Yeah, I wonder why Serbule was moved for one large city to many parts of the city spread out over 1/2 the Serbule map.

Nice find, Mort! I really enjoyed watching the video. Fond memories for sure. I was pretty lame about getting screenies in those days, but the old wiki still has a map of Kur. http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/...20131115174520

I remember some things about it. You entered on the path in the southeast corner. Traveling straight ahead (heading west) you pass all the polar bears and the deer. On the mountain to the right (north) were the wolves with Jace, Sanja, and Lamashu I think. When you reach the 3 points of light to the west you have found the inn. Behind it (north), and over the mountain were the orcs. They were the only place to get the highest and best gear at the time (except for the place holder rhinos which dropped jewelry). People would farm the orcs for hours and there was always plenty of shiny gear drops! It may not sound fun, but it was. There were no dungeons in Kur and it was much smaller than the present one. You could ice fish on any of the 3 lakes.

I did get a screenshot of my character in Eltibule, back when it looked like a semiarid desert. This is from November 16, 2013.

the design back then seemed a lot more detailed in many ways. I have no doubt I would've been completely unable to run the game. Amazed by the progress Citan has made by himself in just a few years.

I remember trying the game briefly in 2012 iirc and the screenshot triggered some distant memories about making an elf char who had boobs *hint*. I think I fell through floor textures, got stuck and took a 2 years break xD

This is what got me to give it another shot
