Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.
There will be no wipe coming into beta (Steam release). There will be a partial wipe on full release, though. Some aspects of your character will be wiped including but not limited to: items, currency, NPC favor levels, and favor-quests. Most skills will not be wiped. Please note, this is subject to change.
Not really that bad at all. Skills, and recipes are the most expensive and time consuming thing to get, and define your character.
The economy getting a reset will make the game play better and even things out. Too many veteran characters have millions they don't need and stacks of supplies. And much more will be accumulated by the wipe, which is at least 18 months off. Prices will be lower, and there will be a lot more trading. A better economy.
By wiping favor, you slow up the older characters a bit. You won't be able to go farm things and get a ton of money from vendors. It will take a bit to work things up. But we will know what to do, the best/easiest way to get favor with the best vendors. Veteran players will still have a huge advantage with their high level skills, and knowledge of the game.
