Welcome to Project: Gorgon!

Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.

The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.

    This is for the admins

I will start it off like this, I love the events you both put on, they have been so much fun and very entertaining and the loot has been fantastic!

But the whole surprise to some of the events is getting a little overwhelming because I have been working on a hardcore character, she is level 74/74 right now and has NEVER died. But to do this I have to have casino stones on me to be able to get the hell out of serbule at a moments notice. It has worked so far, but as I came into town on my bat last night and perched myself onto the top of a building to send a tell to someone I got put on fire, then it was followed by another debuff fire, which for sure would of killed my agent (my hardcore character) if I would of been logged on with her. There was no warning, no chance for me to get the hell out of the area, so I was very thankful I was not playing her at the time.

I do not want you to stop the events that you do, as I do enjoy them, but is there anyway for a warning maybe for such things? Or should I just totally abandon Serbule with my agent character? Honestly just looking for suggestions on how to handle situations like this.

I have been in the game since 2016 so me doing the hardcore challenge with a character was something fresh and fun to try, and a big change of the way I play the game. But it is not only me, I know there was a group of us at one time who were doing agent characters but I don't think they play them much anymore.

I am truly proud to have a character that I have leveled on my own to level 74/74 so far with no deaths, it would be devastating to get killed when I have no control over it though.

Not an unreasonable request, but I have to ask--isn't dying in serbule with a hardcore character basically painless? All that happens is some of your items are disabled until you get back to your corpse, right? You spawn in the inn so it would be very easy to just run right back to the well and pick up where you left off.

    ...right?

Usually, yes. The character mentioned is an "agent" character, which is a community-defined name given to a challenge where the character is played only until their first death, then a score is created based information provided in the /behaviorreport command.

I'm tremendously impressed with anyone who reaches the point of the agent Sassy mentions, as my last agent lasted less than 3 hours.

Oh I wasn't aware of this. Neat.

Yep yep, I've had some fun with my no-death/no trade chars (curious if there's an "official" page with rules/scoring), and the events being sporadic could definitely be problematic.

Given characters usually have to go to Serbule for one reason or another (and it's a typical hang out spot), I'd hate to see those characters evicted.

I wonder if it's possible to have a flag that renders those characters immune to shenanigans? (I.e. they can't damage or be damaged by admin-spawned monsters, not be cursed or receive loot from them)?

Otherwise it feels like a god might just not like you one day and it's all over.
