Welcome to Project: Gorgon!

Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.

The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.

Got new computer, cant get on game

I installed steam and downloaded game, I click on desktop icon, log in screen loads and when I click the button to start the game, I get an error message saying it has to close and that it created some crash files that I can send to Elder Games, how do I send the files?

Turning in Crash Reports -- should you need it.

Great, I'm glad you're back with us, Figger1. I hope you really enjoy P:G on your new computer.

Meanwhile, if anyone else needs to turn in Crash Reports, here is a a link to the procedure:

Your procedure says to get the "output_log.txt" file but why does it create a special crash folder with 2 files adding up to about 280k and the "output_log.txt" is only 25k. Why wouldnt they want the special crash files?

Not sure if you are referring to Greyfn's procedure or the procedure described on the wiki, but on the wiki it describes two procedures: one for a Launcher Crash and one for a Game Crash.

The output_log.txt file is created in either case and should be included. My understanding is the folder with the other logs (e.g. \Crash_2020-01-10_180932 containing crash.dmp and error.log) is only created on a Game Crash and so the player should only include those files when the game itself crashes (when you've succsessfully launched).

I hadn't looked at the wiki version, but it is really out of date.

We haven't had a launcher since steam. Probably that wiki page needs an update....

The description I posted here on the forum reflects the current best way to turn in a report.

(Also, I don't know how Mac or Linux people turn in reports or if it is different.)

Linux directory to find crash logs

    Update--

Linux path to find crash log: ~/.config/unity3d/Elder Game/Project Gorgon/Player.log
