Welcome to Project: Gorgon!

Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.

    Question Teleport and zone travel?

Any tips/tricks for teleport and travelling between zones?
Where do you typically tie your teleport?
Is the guy for mushroom recall hard to get to like end of dungeon or in open area?

I've got a few pieces of gear to bump by sprint a little, but it's definitely not enough. Sprint potion i'm burning through pretty quick.

    There are some tricks.

    • If you are softcore you can kill yourself by drowning, drinking fuel oil, etc and enter the light to get back to Serbule. (I presume this still works? I don't use this method as i play hardcore).

Alternatively, you can create level 0 words of power which randomly give teleports to Serbule (frequently), Eltibule, and the Goblin Dungeon. Cost is one crab meat plus some salt. The crab meat can be hard to come by. I used to find a fair bit on Buy Used tabs, but not so much recently.

    • Some of the higher teleportation recipes have utility. The one i use sometimes is "Recall Last Recall". It's fairly inexpensive (i think it's got a 40% chance to consume an aquamarine compared with standard Recall 20% chance of an amethyst). How you use it is say i'm at Serbule, which i can get back to via dying or word of power, bound to place B. I need to visit places B and C, both of which i go to frequently.

So what i do is i recall to B, walk to C, bind to C. Now i can return to "base" (Serb) and the next time i go, i can recall last recall to B, then recall to C.

Basically if you do this alot you end up saving half the walking between B and C using this method.

Where do you typically tie your teleport?
It used to be Ilmari, where the best work orders were. Now it's Casino/Rahu because this is the best place for storage, has two very good work order boards, and is pretty central. Basically the fact that it's two highly useful zones in one makes this a fairly easy choice.

Is the guy for mushroom recall hard to get to like end of dungeon or in open area?
He's in a dungeon behind some mobs. There aren't mobs right next to him, so it's possible to run past some of them and lose aggro by the time you get to him, but you'll have some DoTs on you. It's pretty dangerous, and likely impossible (without assistance) to get to him at a low level.
I've got a few pieces of gear to bump by sprint a little, but it's definitely not enough. Sprint potion i'm burning through pretty quick.
I recommend leveling up some skills that give sprint boosts when you can for one of your loadouts. Check out http://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/Haste

my recall is bound to Ilmari, my alternate is bound to casino and my mushroom circle is bound to Fae Realm.
What skills are you using, some skills have 'treasure effect mods' for speed on them that work when casting certain spells. Fire magic has good ones on 2 pieces of armor that boost speed when casting 'flesh to fuel' which also helps you stay warm in cold zones. Cow has 1 speed mod on 2 pieces of armor when casting 'Graze' and one more when just casting the spell ' Moo of determination'. So on fire magic i can go sprint +8 ( maybe even faster) 75% of the time. Cow can go +10.5 with Graze for 30 seconds with 50 second cooldown and +13 with Moo of determination for 10 seconds with 30 second cooldown.

My main bind is above wolf cave, I use that place for mushrooms and cheese and there are normally less elementals about if I'm coming for the druid event. Is also better to get to illmari and Gaz than from town.

Death in Kur will put me next to the portal for Elt

My alt bind is the mummy cave teleport machine, It's expensive so I seldom use it but the utility is great.

Death will give me access to Rahu and Serb on the timer and of course random if needed by enter the light.

I use the guild points on my main only for res and teleport to guildhall in Rahu.

I tend to keep an eye on the fast travel from rahu as it can get you to sun vale at certain times.

With the the mushroon teleport I'm bound to the npc cave in Gaz, but I only travel there from the Fae realm.
This means for 4 shrooms I can unrecall from anywhere to the fae realm. If needed 3 more shrooms will get me to the Gaz npc's. This in effect kind of gives me 2 mushroom options instead of 1 though is slightly more expensive.

Is also worth noting what the daily dungeon is as they can be left easily and give travel to Kur,Elt and Sunvale.

For a newish player I'd suggest either casino or rahu which is right next door anyways.
Would also suggest if you have the option of loadouts creating a travel build. This is normally a mix of pocket items and some good skillsets with speed buffs.
Shield offers great options with buffed take the lead (mods glove and boot) and vig defence (boot mod).

Thanks all, some great tips/tricks. Tried 20 of those power words and got quite a few teleports.

i'm not familiar with the fast travel from Rahu. Some random portal or something?

I think this refers to sailing on a ship (talk to Sheyna ... destination changes with moon phase).
