Welcome to Project: Gorgon!

Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.

The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.

    Attack mode and deer

I understand that an animal that will attack you that you will go into attack mode when you are close to them. If you walk on or get too close to a giant rat, it will attack you, regular pigs totally ignore you but deer dont attack you but they do run away so you shouldnt go into attack mode just because a normal deer runs away from you.

I found some old patch notes on that - http://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/G...tes/2017-06-09 :

Docile animals that instinctively flee from players (e.g. deer) no longer keep players "in combat" unless the animal is injured in some way. Note that it doesn't matter whether the damage was from that particular player or not; a damaged fleeing animal = in combat, an unharmed fleeing animal = not in combat.
It seems to me that this behavior has changed since that patch - it feels like if I go near any deer, it will put me in combat for at least a couple seconds. However, I haven't been playing all that much recently and I haven't paid attention to the deer's health, so I dunno...

an uninjured deer will put you in combat just because it is afraid of you, which I think should not happen. About a month ago when I started playing, rats would totally ignore you, even if you ran over them but they have changed now, if you are about 3 steps from them, they will ignore you but any closer and they will attack. Pigs always ignore you unless you attack first.

Rat behavior is zone specific if I recall correctly - rats in Anagoge and Serbule are always non-aggressive, rats in Serbule Hills and Eltibule will attack you if you get close enough.

But yes, the deer behavior feels off to me. It's only a couple seconds of combat but still annoying.
