Welcome to Project: Gorgon!

Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.

The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.

If you are asking about combat skills, the chart at http://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/S...tibility_Chart is a great resource. It's missing the new bard skill but since that's not compatible with animals, that's ok... The only cow/bat compatible combat skill requiring something special is necromancy which needs a necromancy gem somewhere. I think you can find them on chest items and with the current event, there are also a lot of necromancy-enabling necklaces dropping. Some staffs enable necromancy, but I do not think that works for animals since they can't properly wield the staff.

For non-combat skills, there was some discussion at https://forum.projectgorgon.com/show...nds-and-skills several months ago - I think Hoxard's summary a few posts down is still correct.

    Time to necro some stuff!
I have heard about cow players soloing manticores. What would it take for a deer to do it? What kind of skills, gears and mods would it take to go toe to toe with a manticore?

Cows charge in where Deer fear to tread. I have heard of some players soloing manticores....very tough to do, very veteran players, and very specific builds. Cow can be very tough. Deer not so much. Maybe if you offered Greenberg a million lemons?!

Hello everyone! I'm glad this thread is still around and active (sort of), anywho I'm around in Global if anyone has any questions regarding animal forms still, and I will also check this forum thread.
Thank You everyone so far that has contributed to the thread, and I hope to see you around in game also!

And to answer the latest question...I would say your gear is the defining factor when trying to solo a very hard creature/elite. If you have the right mods needed to face the opponent, 90% of the time you should be able to kick its ass. But with manticores you must beware being ganked by two or three other Manticores, then that just equals death.
I will need to do a more in depth look at the deer mods and how they work together but I shall give you a more detailed answer later this week.
It also depends on what type of skill you yourself like to use, and what is your preferred playstyle, because that is a factor as well into how well you preform in combat.
