Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.
Hello, during events like Poetry and Cauldrons also in crowded places, everyone is complaining about having low FPS, some people say to leave Serbule but that's not fun we all want to participate. I assume this is due to the number of players nearby, I think "Hide Other Characters" should be added as an option to prevent this huge problem that keeps popping off on Global every week and when the population is high.
It is not the first time something like this happened in the MMORPG history but the proposed solution is very effective and used in other MMORPGs.
Try setting your entity animation distance (settings --> graphics --> advanced) lower or to zero, if you haven't tried that yet. I'm sure it's not as effective as hiding them entirely, but it does seem to help in many cases.
Seems like the devs are making steady progress on addressing this issue. Hiding everyone may seem like a good solution, but at the same time that may deprive the designers of the data they need for a more thorough solution.
i find that some where between 0.3 and 0.5 to be the sweet spot.
as well as disabling trees and grass.
dont forget to disable vsync and the frame limiter and memory limiter assuming you have plenty of ram and want more then 60fps.
