Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.
As a new player does it make sense to focus on at least one skill from the off. I’m wondering if having a higher level skill helps level other skills later. For example hunting higher level mobs giving increased xp to the new skill. Power leveling a new skill I guess.
Yes and no, you can only use skills 25 levels above your other active combat skill but you can still wear higher level gear so for example I can use my level 70 archery and go farm a level ~40 area with a level 1 skill, getting full exp then repeat that for another skill and this works out faster than trying to level up with those 2 skills at level 1 being the active skills.
Focusing on one will also make you richer, meaning when you go back and level others instead of struggling through you can chug potions and stuff. It is much easier to make money at any skill 70 than it is at level 50 archer/sword/shield/pig/fire/ice
