Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.
This great idea popped into my head when someone said in chat, "lfg to hunt with".
Well the hunting skill. The more kills you get across the same enemy the higher exp you get. Of course until you kill it like 100 times. So there has to be some cap and level based exp. This can also be broken into categories like spiders/farm animals etc. The gathering skill, which should have a proper name associated with the idea but for now well say gathering, is about looting the enemies you hunt. Soooo all these animal parts that takes up massive amounts of inventory space can now be sorted as a currency page. For example, there is a separate inventory tab that counts animal parts as currencies and they are all listed out for you. This would be extremely fun if you can turn these in for rewards. So you have been hunting spiders all day..and you finally have 100 spider legs and you can buy a cosmetic spider helmet. And after a few more days of grinding you can buy the complete spider set. For a pig, it can be a pig set. For a mantis, mantis set. You get the idea! This can add so many cosmetics in the game overtime already using materials present in the game. Even if this is disagreed with hopefully some of the aspects of this idea can come out of this.
