Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.
We managed to crash the server. Poetry jam and cauldron was too str0nk. Let the record show that on this day, at this time, during this era, we have a server down. That is all.
The weird thing is that the server didn't actually crash... if you use the /status command in-game you'll see it's been up for days. At a quick glance it seems like a networking problem: the route to the master server computer broke for a bit. The sub-servers and all the players lost their connection to it, and then a few minutes later the network problem went away and everything went back to normal completely automatically.
It seems like a weird coincidental timing for an ISP networking issue to appear during the player-run event... possible, but a little weird. Anyway, I'll grab the server logs this evening and investigate!
Happy to be of service Citan! Of course! :P Make sure you give those gerbals extra treats tonight for all the hardwork they did trying to keep us online!
