Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.
The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.
PgMessenger is a Windows program (download here) that let you read the game chat of Project: Gorgon on any computer.
How does it work?
The Project: Gorgon game client -when configured to do so- can save a log of in-game chat in files. Any player running PgMessenger will send new chat lines to a dedicated server, and anyone running PgMessenger will get updates from that server and display it in real time. Therefore, the system just need a handful of people playing across times zones and running PgMessenger for everyone to see chat 24/7.
All common channels are captured: Global, Help and Trade. Custom room channels are not. Guild channel is also captured but visible only to guild members through a few tricks (see the guild chat section of the doc).
Eventually, PgMessenger will be changed to use an official game chat API, but until then log files are the only way to do this.
Enjoy!
