Welcome to Project: Gorgon!

Project: Gorgon is a 3D fantasy MMORPG (massively-multiplayer online role-playing game) that features an immersive experience that allows the player to forge their own path through exploration and discovery. We won't be guiding you through a world on rails, and as a result there are many hidden secrets awaiting discovery. Project: Gorgon also features an ambitious skill based leveling system that bucks the current trend of pre-determined classes, thus allowing the player to combine skills in order to create a truly unique playing experience.

The Project: Gorgon development team is led by industry veteran Eric Heimburg. Eric has over a decade of experience working as a Senior and Lead Engineer, Developer, Designer and Producer on successful games such as Asheron’s Call 1 and 2, Star Trek Online and other successful Massively Multiplayer Online Games.

  1. Some Meaningful Level 70 Solo Content, Please?

This topic is hard to broach without being flamebait, but I'll try.

There's a "run GK or GTFO" feel to Project Gorgon when you get to level 70. It's the main reason I play the game less.

    Part...

In case anyone's wondering, the "puzzle box" that Ormorek claimed he didn't care about is connected to a pretty significant figure in dwarven cheesemaking fan-fiction. It once belonged to Mistêm...

Thanks! It's been fun to play around with game lore ideas. As for "where you're going with this one," that's massively overthinking the Church of Ormorek, Reconstituted. The idea came about because...
  4. Ormorek Power: "Just One More" (self rez when in alcohol withdrawal)

Devout worship of Ormorek (despite the fact that he doesn't want your worship) could grant powers in line with his Bitterness, vestiges of Dwarven nature, and his gradual, unwilling transition into...

FYI, the Rune clues are always in the same location for a particular cache, and we've got most of them mapped on the wiki if you want the spoiler. Agreed, they can be tough to spot, so getting the...
  6. Multi-Group Loot Sharing (New scripted events, especially)

The new scripted events are awesome, but did expose one area for improvement: loot sharing between groups for elites and bosses.

Since the event was extremely difficult, the runs I joined were...

Hi Cozycats, I saw your frustration during the event.

Yep, it's the first test of the new scriptable event system. (Yaaaaay! Let's keep hoping for custom admin-created curses! )

    I...

    That's the Spirit!*

*Get it? Spirit, because he's a Nature Spirit? Haha, go Ormorek, unwilling God of Dad Jokes!
  9. Arisetsu and the Puzzle Box of Ormorek, Part 2

Arisetsu and the Puzzle Box of Ormorek, Part 2

In a cave that would otherwise have been dreary and dark, Arisetsu, Goddess of Hope and Warmth, faced Ormorek, once God of Dwarves, now God of...
  10. Clip's Notes: Arisetsu and the Puzzle Box of Ormorek

Clip’s Note: “Frequently, stories about the Gods of Alharth are highly conjectural and apocryphal. However, in this case the story comes from an unusually well-placed source, and might be given more...
  11. Ormorek’s Back Door

    Ormorek’s Back Door

From the Scripture of The Church of Ormorek, Reconstituted:

Civet coffee is made from partially digested coffee cherries that have passed through the intestines of an Asian...

The Church of Ormorek, Reconstituted: A New Deity of Respawning and Trying Again

Clip’s Note: “Author unknown. Frequently attributed to Mox Warcut.”

They say, "to overreach is Human," but...

Origin of the Church of Ormorek, Reconstituted

Clip’s Note: “This was overheard by Rappanele. It changes a little every time he retells it.”

Like most great things, the Church of Ormorek,...
  14. Clip's Notes: The Church of Ormorek, Reconstituted.

The Church of Ormorek, Reconstituted is dedicated to the game Lore idea of Ormorek becoming the god of something else. What, specifically, is not strictly defined, so the Church sanctions pretty much...
