I finally got around to learning sigil scripting from Sir Arif, and I did get Explosion Sigil in Special Abilities, but sigil scripting does not show up in Skills and using the ability gives no xp. What am I missing?

Answering my own question ;)
You have to use it in combat. And after the first use, the skill does show up.
Haven’t messed with sigil scripting, will make a mental note for when I do. Thanks!

Hoping the skill can be added some other way than combat (for spirit foxes). I’d like to learn the gem recipes at Sigil Scripting 25, and wanted to autodidact the skill (to work around the hands limitation) but that’s not currently possible.
Yep. I had the same problem. I unfoxed, learned the skill, raised it to the level needed to inscribe gems, and re-foxed. Ironically, inscribing sigils raises the skill, i'm nearly maxed in it.
