Different types of evasion?

There are several mods or pieces of gear giving evasion. Looking for some clarification on what they do.

ranged evasion: anything shot at you and ranged spells?

melee evasion: melee attacks and what else counts?

burst evasion: aoe attacks?

I've heard that a lot of rage attacks from animals count as bursts. Does melee protection negate a bear's rage attack? Or is that what burst evasion is?

You got it right: ranged evasion evades ranged attacks, melee evasion melee attacks and burst evasion burst attacks. :)

Usually, if a mob attack is ranged or burst it'll be in the attack's name or description. For example, Acid Spiders do "Ranged Acid Damage", "Acid Damage" and "Burst Acid Damage".

That makes more sense I thought burst was magic. Blur cut is suddenly alot better
