Game running okay-ish on old laptop
I sent my main gaming laptop off for repairs and decided to try PG on my backup laptop on the lowest settings.
My backup laptop is about 5 years old, has 4 gigs ram, runs linux (Ubuntu), has a quad core CPU (Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3610QM CPU @ 2.30GHz) and has hybrid Intel graphics with a Nvidia 610M discrete card. It's not really a gaming laptop, I usually use it for web browsing and for 2D games.
Even after loading an area there's a bit of stuttering/hitching but that clears up within a minute or two. When the system is idle it uses ~ 800 megs of ram. With PG loaded and idle in Eltibule it uses ~ 2 1/2 gigs of ram. That's pretty good for a 3D game that hasn't been optimized yet.
