Is making ice cream learnable now?

Is it possible to learn to make ice cream, right now in game?

I went to Ichin the Ice Master as a cow, I thought that was the way to learn it. What I'm I missing if it is ingame?

You needed to be at least level 40 cow, was working towards the cheesemaking bonus anyway.

So I got ice cream but I made a mistake. I got distracted by my kid while playing, and when I came back to the game all my ice cream melted away. I never ate any for the gourmand bonus.

Is this a hangout that resets? If not, can the devs please make it so, so that I can come back in a month and try again?

The hangout should also give you a recipe to make it again, doesn't it?

No, if the doesn't meet the other requirements he gets 3 or 5 mint icecreams as hangout reward iirc
