Hector and I relaxing someplace we know will be safe, after a long day of touring the Elbow Joint.

Wilds of Serbule.

01-06-2017, 03:15 AM
I was doing some surveys under this nice tree in South Serbule. I fell asleep.

Just off the Road to the Tapestry Inn in South Serbule

Lucky for me Hector was on Guard.

:D nice robe ...

thanks, you can't tell but it jammed full of pockets of course.

Visiting Eltibule Next. The animals are strange here. Take this cow for instance.

Near Eltibule Keep

Stranger and Stranger.

Watch tower near Percy Evans' place.

01-09-2017, 02:33 PM
I think there should be a "Don't feed the bears" sign at the bottom of that tower. Not even if they are green and hungry-looking...

01-09-2017, 03:35 PM
Maybe, but how would you tame them then? :)

Well it is Percy's watch tower he probably wouldn't be opposed to the idea. If he does put up a sign I'll alter the postcard.

01-10-2017, 04:11 PM

After several attempts at Kur Mountains I decided to set sail for Sun Vale instead. Tybalt and I had a relaxing sea voyage.

Open Seas aboard Juri's ship

Relaxing day on the beach for me and my pet. Think I'll go for a swim later.

Beach of Sun Vale

01-11-2017, 07:57 PM

After a change of gear I made it back to Kur. It might look like I'm running from an Ice Bear, but wrong, that is my Ice Bear Iorek. It might look like we are running from some mountain sheep, but wrong. They are definitely chasing us but Iorek won't give me a hug and I am freezing. The Inn is just ahead, and I am definitely running to there and its cozy fire.

Kur Mountains just outside the Northwestern Outpost

01-12-2017, 08:07 PM

There are many treasures just laying around the Kur Mountains

Wilds of the Kur Mountains

Wilds of the Kur Mountains

My mining expedition didn't go so well. I think I will wait till somebody works the kinks out surveying by magic before I try again.

Sea of the Kur Mountains

01-14-2017, 09:52 PM
:DDD The lemon mining one is priceless.

01-15-2017, 04:58 AM

Well out of the ice cube and into the frying pan. Starting into the Ilmari desert wastes. I should have brought water with me, I'll know next time. My pets are worried about entering the desert, and I can't blame them. So, I've left them all in the stables. In a moment of delirium I dream of owning a Pet Camel. In my saner moments I think maybe I should try to tame a desert cat.

Somewhere between Dream World and Ilmari

I made it to a desert town and marked it on my map, doing much better now. Back out in the desert, running into strange creatures. I hate these sneaky pop-up scaly monsters. But I found this interesting book near this one.

Wilds of Ilmari

These are superior and entertaining. Thank you for the great smiles and laughter!

01-17-2017, 06:48 AM

Made it to the city of Rahu. You'll never guess who meet me there. It was Hector! That clever boy bounded off a ship about a week ago, according to Sheyna at the docks. So he has been getting into mischief for about a week. I had to put my carpentry skills to use patching the holes he put into Nishika's place, and he managed to demolish her food supplies pretty well. What I couldn't replace out of storage, I paid for. He also made a new friend, this hilarious guy Shep. They just adore each other, always having fun.

01-20-2017, 10:58 AM
This is so amazing that i bothered to make a forum account to let you know how amazing i think this is.

01-20-2017, 11:55 AM
I also really enjoyed this thread and hope there's more coming. On my first day here I met ShieldBreaker in passing and was greatly pleased as I just happened to be reading the Swords trilogy again and ShieldBreaker is one of the 12 given to humanity by the gods for their great game. Excellent series and seeing the name was just another nail in the coffin making me stay.

01-20-2017, 12:54 PM
Thanks Moralis, MrWhiskers, FelMonk, Khnum

Yes more on the way. I've got three more planned, and I figure the new area will also figure into my travels. The last postcard of Rahu was difficult to execute, every time I tried to save my work it would crash the program and I had to start from near scratch 3 times to get as far as i did. I just rushed through the 3rd time and didn't even bother giving the Death Shepherd his feathers. Been excited about the patch and spending time in game getting ready for that, plus real life keeps intruding on my computer time. I'll try to finish up one before the patch but no promises :)

01-20-2017, 04:36 PM

Went to the restricted part of Rahu and met this vendor. He sells these interesting little fish dishes. He has agreed to teach me how to make them. My only complaint about them is that he doesn't cook them long enough. While he is teaching me, whenever I try to cook the fish he starts yelling at me and threatening me with his knife. I just don't get it.

Best thread ever!

01-22-2017, 10:15 AM
So I am visiting the Wolf Cave. Lakrea sent me on a quest to get Cavefish. Man does this place smell bad, uuugh. But I got the Cavefish, all by myself for a change. Well for now Wolf Cave, So long and thanks for all the fish.

Wolf Cave, Kur

A quick side note. I'd like to Thank Niph and Zeiss for carrying me to the fish all the times before.

Thanks Khaylara, glad you like the thread.

01-22-2017, 10:20 AM

With trepidation, I prepare for the grand new adventures that lie ahead in new lands.

Happy Patch Day Everyone!

Secret Hideout

01-23-2017, 04:42 PM

Oh, Iorek and I are in trouble. We see undead people. Lots of undead people. Hopefully they won't notice us and will go away. Well at least we are warm.

Prestonbule, Gazluk

01-29-2017, 05:27 AM

Went to visit Gazluk City, was given a chilly reception. I wish I hadn't lost my memories, I have the strangest feeling that I used to have a skill that would have come in handy in this sort of situation.

Too Near Gazluk City, Gazluk Plateau

02-01-2017, 04:27 PM

Was out in the forest of Serbule, walking, trying to figure out what cave I should ripen my casks of cheese in. I notice this big, weird mushroom. Well picking mushrooms is a hobby of mine, and I know a couple of guys that probably be interested in it, so I decided to take it. But it must of had some powerful medicinal properties, because right when I touched it, I start hearing voices and then I had the strangest dream. I was in this cave with telepathic mushroom people. I setup my cheese and then went and explored the cave.

Passed out in the forest of Serbule, near a weird big mushroom, I assume.

Follow-up Note: Well I woke up miles from where I was, near a collapsed cave entrance. So I must have wandered around during the dream. The really scary thing is that my cheese was ready and packed away in my pack. I wonder if I made the cheese in the collapsed cave and made it out just in time, or if some sort of dream magic was involved. Damn, why couldn't I have dreamed of my pet camel a second time.

02-01-2017, 08:03 PM
Fantastic postcards and the lore is valubale

02-02-2017, 02:27 PM
Thanks Sheawanna

On lore, ShieldBreaker doesn't always understand what is going on around him, so learning your lore from him is dicey. Like he misremembers things like how many fingers certain creatures have, but you might be able to pick up a clue or two that tell you something about Alharth.

Got 5 more ideas for images, at least one is not really a postcard. Haven't started the real work on any of them yet. May focus on maxing out hammer before starting work on the next card. Plan to do at least 2 cards for each new area that opens up so might take a break once I finish these next 5 images.

02-02-2017, 06:29 PM
These are awesome, thanks :)

02-04-2017, 12:33 PM
Your welcome cratoh, glad you enjoy them :)

Well no postcard today. I now know how Dalvos feels, see failed experiment above. :D

Yes, you can get 6-7 different things from the ice, one of them is lemons.

Okay, wondering about trying some new stuff. Putting up a link to my imgur work in progress gallery. Would like feedback but don't know how to set it up to accept comments. Maybe send me a PM if you know about that sort of thing or want to comment/make suggestions. Don't look if you don't want to wreck the surprise. Or send me a PM if you know of a better place then imgur to try setting up a place to hold the images and get feedback.

link to my work in progress gallery, 1 image in it at the moment.

Will post this image over here when it is the proper time for it.

04-09-2017, 04:33 PM
I checked it and looking forward to the forum posting, I won't comment anything so I wouldn't spoil the surprise.:)

Nice one Shield.

05-10-2017, 03:24 AM
Thanks Dragone. Figured I should do one, I way jumped the gun on the one I should have released today :|

05-10-2017, 07:58 AM
Love your stories. Thanks for posting these. :)

05-17-2017, 01:47 PM

Whaaa ?

Why so blue Hector? Did you get into my Dyes? Well at least that monster is gone.

Nooope, there it is. What have I been doing? Did I dye that monster pink?
Lana would kill me, if I wasted that much dye. Never seen a monster like that before.
I think it is a deliooson, delis, dellsus, ... I think it just in me head.
What worrying me more at the moment, is that Hector seems to be able to see it and torment it as well.

05-27-2017, 02:11 PM
Okay something weird and silly that only slightly related to Gorgon so leaving it over at imgur.

Hope still somewhat amusing. :)

06-06-2017, 03:02 PM

The guys are sad. We haven't been on any adventures, together, in a while.
They are worried about my drinking, or so Gisli tells me.

06-07-2017, 04:33 PM
Free Hector!

06-07-2017, 10:12 PM
Free Hector!

Sorry Khaylara, I'm pretty sure Hector can leave the stable on his own, he is sneaky like that. And I have thought about setting the guys loose. That is kind of a big decision. I'll try to get my act together, and spend more time with Hector, Tybalt and Iorek.

06-09-2017, 05:21 AM

Werewolves, behold the power of Great Bacon.

Happy Patch Day Everybody!

06-10-2017, 02:53 AM
I'm just a little bunny.

But, I'm a bunny with backup.

The guys are back on duty, and will be heading out to the field. They will each get a turn playing bunnyguard.

06-20-2017, 06:41 AM

Well this just might be too obscure, probably nobody will get it.

06-21-2017, 10:51 AM
I'm just a little bunny.

Two days later, the few wolves remaining in Serbule had all switched to a completely vegetarian diet. With both deer and rabbits posing unexpected difficulties, apples seemed the safer digestive choice. For now...

(And I have no idea about the dragon picture - please do spoil it if nobody gets it in a few days.)

06-23-2017, 07:16 AM
No new image ready yet, but I was asked to reveal the meaning behind the last one so I'll put it in the spoiler tag below.

This is one of Jake the Buckler's belt buckles, it provides him with protection from fire death, or so he says.

06-23-2017, 10:21 AM
Hector is free!

06-25-2017, 09:46 AM

Pretty Yellow

Pweatty *squee* fireflies!

07-10-2017, 07:52 AM
The Changing

The Many-Pockected Battle Robe is Dead.
Long Live the Many-Pockected Battle Robe!

I wore that gear for a long time, kind of sad to pack it away. Is grey going to be my end-game look, I don't know. There should be other Many-Pockected Battle Robes in the future. And depending on how bags work, I might even switch out of cloth armor . So in game and in postcard I'll have a slightly different look. Hehe, got this in before the update so it is out of the way of the update cards.

07-14-2017, 10:07 AM

In a gadda da Mushroom, baby

Happy Patch Day, Everybody!

07-14-2017, 11:08 AM

07-17-2017, 12:45 AM
I love the style of your drawings/gifs and i've been wondering (if you don't mind revealing it) what program/s you're using?

07-17-2017, 08:14 AM
Okay, the answer is going to probably more detailed and longer than you want, and probably most won't care so hiding it inside a spoiler. But no actual game spoiler in there.

The easy part first, post work I do in GIMP. In a gadda da Mushroom I returned to using Bryce, which I have been moving away from. The next image One Million Mushrooms, I did mostly in Carrara, only post work in GIMP was adding the Text. The Changing was Carrara with no post editing. Pretty Yellow is my first animation using Carrara. Working on improving my starfields, the one here is actually a backdrop done in Bryce. The Great Bacon one, if you can see the stars at all was done post edit in GIMP. The Belt Buckle was done with Carrara, with heavy post edit in GIMP. If you go all the way back to Bard Day that was my second Carrara image, the first one here. Before that the images where done in Bryce. I use other programs to get cloth simulation morphs, and deform morphs but i use those very rarely. I've got my Wacom Tablet disconnected at the moment, but then I'd be using more ArtRage and maybe SketchBook.

07-17-2017, 10:38 PM
It's way more complicated than i assumed but thank you for your very detailed response.

07-28-2017, 03:56 AM
All Your Egg Are Belong to Us

Let the deer have their lemons, the eggs are the bunnies.
Oh, and we call dibs on the carrots also.

07-28-2017, 11:39 AM
I special behind the scenes making of the All Your Egg

it is an animation so give it a second to load and run.

Well this image took far to long to make, I tried 3 methods for the eggs. The animation features the 2nd method, the one I spent too many days on. At one point I had the eggs starting about 10 stories up, never came close to actually getting a finished image with method 2. In the end the first method I tried, only took a couple hours to get to work properly when I came back to it last night. But I figured might as well show the failed version of it because sometimes seems funny to me. Of course it loses some of the impact (pun intended) because I had to watch it dozens of times in super slow-mo. The 3rd method was boring and didn't work. Circling back and getting the first method to work so quickly the second time was, annoying in its own way. Anyway, hope you enjoy.

07-29-2017, 08:45 AM
It's like a creepy Easter! Black bunny getting buried in eggs

07-29-2017, 09:49 AM
darn, I was going for funny, not creepy, bunny is actually brown, sunlight is coming in from behind him. So he is kind of shadowy. hmmm, maybe the whole egg thing is a dark obsession for bunnies and that is coming through. :)

07-29-2017, 02:30 PM
Funny in a creepy way?:D (I liked it anyway though I prefer giant blue Hector, I'm picturing him not in the picture but dumping buckets over buckets of eggs on the poor bunny)

08-01-2017, 11:52 AM
Funny in a creepy way?:D (I liked it anyway though I prefer giant blue Hector, I'm picturing him not in the picture but dumping buckets over buckets of eggs on the poor bunny)

I don't think the bunny minds at all getting showered with eggs. It's a bunny thing, trust me. There is no such thing as enough eggs or a wrong direction for them to come from.

( I finally got around to watching the animation and it's awesome. I usually try not to comment on this thread too much since I don't want my boring comments to drown out the postcards, but I'm always looking forward to a new postcard. The bunny one is definitely one of my favorites - both the picture and the animation. And the picture with the fireflies. And anything with Hector. And ... )

08-01-2017, 06:20 PM
I like getting feedback on the thread. Thanks guys for the feedback.

The Postcard Project was only supposed to be a couple of cards for each zone. It expanded out to include patch day pictures, and now just the odd random picture. So the thread isn't as focused as it was. I am thinking I should rework and update some of the images and I am wondering about what to post to the Steam Community, once we get a Steam Community. Obviously I want to put up the best, funniest images, and if I am reworking them, I'd need time to do the rework. I have so many ideas for images as well, there are ones that are now months old. I'll try to keep churning them out. :)

08-03-2017, 07:44 AM
I just feel bad for the people who come to this thread to look at the awesome postcards, and then have to put up with my interrupting graffiti. I almost wish there was a postcards thread and then a postcards discussions thread but that's probably overkill.

My graphic artistry skill is at approximately -10, so I'm no help whatsoever in deciding what the best artistic pictures are. As far as I'm concerned they are all good and all funny. I like the cards that are inside jokes the best, but if the purpose of posting on the Steam Community is to attract new players, they might have no idea what the point of the Borghild picture is, for example. And even existing players may be unaware of the irresistible bunny/egg attraction unless they have actually tried rabbit form for themselves. And I have to admit that while I really really like how your belt buckle picture looks, I don't really get it since I haven't learned buckle artistry yet.

So, I'd say put them all up, and let people decide for themselves what their favorites are? I wouldn't bother reworking the pictures though since you could use that time to create new pictures instead. ;)

08-03-2017, 11:27 AM
I post to show my appreciation. And because I really really like the squirrat!
Art skills maxed at +1 (I have a wacom tablet and that's about it, I only make bday cards and draw really crappy anime sometimes).

I hope Shield keeps it going, I enjoy these:P Maybe an album on the homepage someday?

Ok, this is more of an excuse than a new image.

We all fall down

I decided to take break from the game, then my chair decided to take a break from me.

Real World chair build skill + 100xp
Real World Hex Key Screw Turning skill + 1000xp

I believe it's 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 xp to get from level 1 to level 2, and it takes about level 40 to build a functional, non-wobbly chair. Maybe the real world is broken? Is there a place I can file a bug report?

( Also, that looks like a painful fall! I'd say I hope you landed on something soft, but I don't want Hector to get mad at me...)

10-04-2017, 03:11 PM
And the Award for best new feature in a patch goes to....

Milk Stacking <Audience Thunderously Cheers>

I know, I should have done this a month ago, but it is still something worth celebrating. It is a really nice change. FYI, Still working on Hector's next appearance.

10-05-2017, 10:32 AM
You do realize that this is the picture that Citan will drag out in the future when he explains to players that no, he absolutely cannot change the milk stacking from 5 bottles to 10? ;)

(And is there room for Hector on top of that 5th bottle?)

10-05-2017, 10:47 AM
Hector!!! *impatient foot tapping*

10-05-2017, 11:15 AM
aww wonderful , but least we forget he does have two hands :P 10 bottles sounds about right :)

10-05-2017, 01:49 PM
(And is there room for Hector on top of that 5th bottle?)
Don't think Hector trusts my balancing act. Anyway, Tybalt would be more likely to be interested in the subject matter.

Hector!!! *impatient foot tapping*
Will talk to Hector. Tybalt has finished his makeover, Iorek is getting close to finishing his makeover, and Hector is proving problematic as always.

aww wonderful , but least we forget he does have two hands :P 10 bottles sounds about right :)

Maybe, but I'd imagine you would have to get ambidextrous training* to do that, and I hear it cost and arm and a leg, so kind of defeats the whole purpose. :)

*ambidextrous training isn't really a thing, for those new to the game

10-29-2017, 02:06 PM
Happy Halloween

10-29-2017, 03:19 PM
Happy halloween to you too Hector! Spooky...

Deep Thoughts with ShieldBreaker.

Why are skeletons always so angry, when they are always smiling?

This has been Deep Thoughts with ShieldBreaker.

Happy Rough Preview day Everybody.

Only got a gag image for the moment.

On top of the world, Hector

12-11-2017, 11:25 AM
That's a lot of cheese!

I greatly enjoyed Hector's poem "Squee" last week, although I think that maybe it's a little bit too easy to rhyme "squee" with "squee". That's probably just artistic envy though since I don't speak rat and I'm stuck using a less inherently poetic language for my readings.

12-11-2017, 03:31 PM
Your postcards are amazing, shieldbreaker, keep them coming!

12-14-2017, 05:32 PM

Some friends over in Animal Town

Animal Town, Sun Vale

12-14-2017, 10:29 PM
Now where did Spot get all that nail polish? I feel there is a story behind that - maybe Rita is secretly visiting and teaching Spot about two-legged customs? Or has Spot been helping Daisy with her alchemy experiments?

Anyway - this is a great postcard! I especially like Raul.

12-15-2017, 08:55 AM
Thanks Tagamogi.

Okay, so the nail polish is removed. It makes sense that she wouldn't be wearing any. I just needed to get this image up, I couldn't let Hector have another image in a row, that would be like letting him win.

12-15-2017, 04:07 PM
Aww, sorry, I didn't mean to make you change your image. It is an awesome postcard either way, and I enjoyed imagining a little girl/dog hangout for Rita and Spot. And I'm pretty sure Hector is in that tent, waiting for his moment. :)

Evil? Candy canes are meant to be eaten! This tree looks a bit like the holiday tree in Kur - maybe Hector can build a cozy nest from all that yeti fur to curl up in after he's eaten enough candy.

I rather like the brushy look of the last couple pictures - I have no idea what to call it, but it makes for a nice hand-painted postcard look.

Happy Holidays!!

Purple sugar is great - it has two more mods than blue sugar. :p

I totally missed your opening day pictures before - nice ones!! The sugar one wins for me, though, just because of the matching rhyme. :) I feel like my reply ought to rhyme too, but, nah, too busy laughing... Purple alcohol, mm...

03-17-2018, 11:22 AM
I never realized it, this is a major improvement, we went from regular sugar to epic sugar, inconceivable.

You will actually make sugar making rum (i.e. molasses), no brewing actually needs sugar

ShieldBreaker - do you happen to still have the original Sun Vale postcard? I was just talking to a friend about lipstick on game characters, and I wanted to show off Spot with and without lipstick to him. Then I realized I only have the "without" picture...

05-09-2018, 04:00 PM
Very last image in my Work in Progress gallery https://imgur.com/a/UDQXr

05-09-2018, 04:39 PM
Awesome, thank you!! Her nail polish looks less bright than I remember - I must have had a really picky day when you originally posted it...

Oh, and on a slightly different topic: Very belated congrats for having your very own picture in the game! I just realized last week that the painting called "Shieldbreaker's Lament" might be possibly be named after someone I know. :) I'm hoping that when housing gets introduced, we get to hang some of the existing paintings on our walls - would be fun.

05-09-2018, 05:08 PM
Thanks, I too hope to use it to decorate.

For the record I'm pretty sure there is a space between Shield and Breaker's in the name of the item in game.

05-09-2018, 08:11 PM
Yes, I noticed the extra space in the painting name but blamed the name mangling on my inadequate art history. I mean, how many red-robed, beer-drinking mages with a pet rat can there be in the game? :)

2 pieces of Edam Cheese, 644 Councils
1 Mini Decent Robe, 318 Councils
1 piece of String, 10 Councils
1 Mini Decent Combat Staff, 150 Councils
9 blankets, 225 Councils

Getting to pretend to dress up Hector, Priceless.

Happy Priest Patch Day Everybody!

Time to get down to business.

Happy Dual Wield Dagger Day Everybody!

05-29-2018, 11:11 AM
Cute Hector picture as usual. :) My mind wants to combine the two pictures now: Hector in a fluffy white priest robe while dual wielding daggers and shouting "rawwwr". Hey, priest/knife is a valid combo, right? And blankets of course go well with any spec...

Fertilizer Stacking

Another improvement worth noting. It is kind of strange, this will save way more effort in inventory management than milk stacking did. But for some reason milk stacking made me way happier.

Daguin thanks :)
Tagamogi I thought of an interesting way to make cotton for the combined picture, but that's as far as I got. I was thinking if Hector was wielding daggers he would be stabbing the blankets, so cotton would be spilling out. Oh well.

Agreed! I make fertilizer on an "as needed" basis in my pack while gardening, but milk takes up precious storage chest space...

Oooh, now that could be a picture to save for weather witching. Hector can be dual wielding daggers to get a proper pillow fluff snow storm going.

Happy Crafting Improvement Patch Day Everyone!

11-28-2018, 02:05 PM
Oh fun stuff! I was just looking at all the pictures in this thread again yesterday and thinking we needed more postcards... :) Thank you for continuing to post these!

That rune looks about Hector-sized - hopefully nothing bad will happen if he jumps on the summoning rune... Hm, maybe it's a two-way portal and he'd end up in the bank chest? If the bank is full of cheese, that may turn out pretty nicely.

11-29-2018, 05:37 PM
I think the portal is only one way. Now you got me worried about pantries all over Alharth. Hector has already had a run in with Nishika, I got drunk and and called Selaxi sexy by mistake, Rugen keeps calling me an idiot and threatening me with his knives. I have the worst luck with chefs, last thing I need is for Hector magically burgling their food stores. On top of that I worry that if Mandibles found him in his stores Hector would end up on the menu.

Oh dear, I hadn't thought of the dangers to Hector. I'm sure that even if the current portal is only one-way, there is a two-way level 24 spell out there somewhere that Hector will probably master before all of us. Maybe you should have a chat with Hector and explain that he should only port into the pantries of chefs that are already mad at the two of you? Preferably while you are distracting them, to avoid any dangers to that rat tail. And it might be better to stay away from Rugen completely - those knives look sharp and I bet he can throw them...

( By the way, is there an easy way for a non-mantis to tell a mantis's gender? I was ok while I only knew two mantises, but with all the new mantis friends I made, I'm worried about accidentally offending them if I use the wrong gender by accident. I really hope Tavilak won't read the bug report I made yesterday... )

11-30-2018, 01:22 PM
No there isn't any easy way to tell mantis' gender, you would think the females would were different hats maybe. Usually can pick up hints in conversations. I would worry about offending any of the Queens, but not too worried about the rest.

Don't Go Into the Woods!

Lol read that in a wrong way that probably was intentional cough* cough* anyways who does the art on these pics

11-30-2018, 06:23 PM
The elf and dress I designed and rendered, the backdrop is called Hunter's Moon which I licensed from someone who goes by LaurieS. Usually I create my own backdrops, but they are usually pretty basic stuff using terrain engine built into the software.

I'm assuming a mantis' gender is so obvious to a fellow mantis there is no need for them to wear different hats. It would be rather helpful for us non-mantises, though. Some of these mantises are really tricky to befriend, so I am worried about offending them and possibly dropping from Best Friends to just Tolerated...

( The reason I brought it up is that you called Mandibles "he", while the Wiki says both "he" and "her" and I ... just don't know. I'm sorry, Mandibles! Let's be friends anyway? Platonic friends? )

Looking for entrances in all the wrong places

Happy Patch Day Everybody!

02-20-2019, 08:53 AM
haha ShieldBreaker , Best part of my morning is seeing you post another pic .

02-20-2019, 01:12 PM
This was very much me this morning - ran all over Rahu wilds and then felt like a dunce when I found it.

02-21-2019, 03:21 PM
Thanks Sheawanna and Deldaron.

The entrance location took me by surprise. I was actually pretty close when I logged out before the patch, but I figured it would be way harder to find, so it be closer to other landmarks in Rahu. So ran all over the place, like i predicted in the pic. Technically I had more trouble with Sun Priests then rhinos but in essences my pic came true. :)

Weird chanting heard coming from a dungeon

Rofl. :D I've been trying to think of mnemonics for some of the weirder symbols and I may borrow your chant. It's just been way too long since I'd memorized the runes from The Hobbit. Plus "th" "ng" "ee" sounds more scary than memorable. :p

( And thanks for the other recent images too - I'm out of brain power and didn't have anything suitably clever to say but I always like looking at your pictures. I wonder if Hector ran off with your shirt in the well picture though - it seems it could make a great, shady rat tent.)

04-29-2019, 09:08 AM
Glad you found the chanting image funny Tagamogi. :)

About the other image, that isn't me in that one, it is someone more relevant to the patch.

04-29-2019, 01:01 PM

Oh doh, that makes more sense, yes. I thought maybe you'd just gone for a change of outfit and hair color and general looks. Still, if someone leaves a shirt lying about in the desert, they'd better be prepared for a rat to run off with it regardless... Maybe that is one reason to stick to chain mail shirts in the hot desert.

The war cache chant is just so appropriate. :D

05-17-2019, 07:17 PM

Oh No, another rat followed me home

05-20-2019, 10:13 AM
Oh No, another rat followed me home

That's why you can buy extra stable slots. :D More importantly, is it a male or female rat, and does Hector like his new friend?

Hm. I was all excited about animal husbandry still and fondly imagining lots of little baby rats of high genetic quality but now that I think about it a bit more, maybe it's time to invest in some fire resistance potions first... And fire proofing for the stable, even if Hector and the new rat don't get along.

05-20-2019, 03:59 PM
Actually, I expect to look like a fool (or more so than usual) when Helen gets Hector pregnant. :) Not sure if the latest rat is female, I like to think that the first and last are males and the middle two are females. Damn my lack of Gender Studies skills. Actually Hector hangs around Tybalt and Iorek (cat and bear) more than any of the new rats. The rats get snippy with each other over food. They are all different species, I don't know if that is an issue or if it will cause issues later on. I hope it doesn't.

A silly poem and image about life in the Fae Realm below

If I was ShieldBreaker's Bee, what would I see?
Him killing a thousand more just like me
There he goes, on a butterfly murder spree
But bigger enemies appearing make him flee,
To spend the afternoon drinking Sun Vale Tea
You can count on him sharing some with me
For this reason, I don't want to be set free.

Happy Halloween Everyone

<minor party spoilers>

11-08-2019, 11:37 AM

Everyone was bun-fu fighting, those rodents were fast as lightning

Oh yeah! It was like lightning
Everybody was fighting
And the music was soothing
And they all started grooving

Yeah, yeah, yeah-yeah-yeah
And the man in the back said everyone attack
And it turned into a bun-fu blitz
And the girl in the corner said boy I want to warn you
It'll turn into a bun-fu blitz
bun-fu blitz, bun-fu blitz, bun-fu blitz, bun-fu blitz
