I played this game for a few weeks 2 or 3 years ago and decided to give this game another try. I’ve gotta say, I love it. The amount of abilities are incredible. The depth of the different classes is amazing too.

As it happens I’m part of the Pantheon Pre Alpha testers. Today in a play session I asked my group of 6 players about PG and the consensus seemed to be the reason they didn’t like PG was the graphics. Clearly you don’t play this game for it’s amazing art, but I’m curious to know if it will ever be updated? I just worry a lot of people will not experience a well made game due to its one flaw, the graphics.

(As a side note Pantheon is super boring and has no depth at all)

Technically the graphics are being updated all the time, place holders are replaced, new models introduced. Recently a bunch of horse related stuff has been added. It is a slow process, and might quicken if/when they get to the polish phase. If I heard correctly the artist is working on Statehelm at the moment. Things might get additional passes and improvement with each pass. I don't know if there will be a magic moment that the average player will say it looks good enough, but I hope it will someday. Citan has expressed a desire for better graphics in the past, and seems to be getting through his todo list on additions to the game, like horse breeding, bladesmithing and a few other things that will probably appear in the next two major updates. I think a focus on graphics might be on the todo list a bit further down. It was originally the plan that graphics and optimization would be mainly a focus of the polish phase after most everything was in place in game.

Thanks for the update. I suspect the player base doesn't care at all about the graphics, I'm sure they focus on game play. Just thinking about the masses. Anyway, glad to hear things are progressing.
