Mushroom Teleportation Unlock Event Hosted by Akhisa's Web

Back by popular demand Akhisa's Web is again planning a mushroom tele event rush. We'll open a portal from Serbule well sometime Sunday Feb 21st around 2pm server time - I'll start posting in global around 1:00 and be at the well with music.

Mushroom teleportation is an alternate form of teleportation that lets you bind to and teleport from mushroom circles throughout the game. There is a mushroom circle in all but ilmari, kur and casino so this can open up new fast travel capabilities and you get teleportation experience for using new mushroom circles/mushroom teleportation spells.

When: Sunday February 21st 2pm server time

What you need: Level 15 Myconian language skill (different from mycology) - you get this sometimes from picking up mushrooms in elt/serb/serb hills.

We recommend doing some runs through Serbule sewers and picking all of the mushrooms there if you need some quick xp. Akhisa's Web will be providing some favor items to hand out and we'll do Sem's quests so everyone will walk away with basic mushroom teleportation, but if you want more recipes from Sem it might be worth bringing extra favor items: http://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/Sem - if you can get 10 black foot morels and 10 grommax mushrooms and haven't talked to Hemmit Magmagrip in New Prestonbule before its recommended you would bring those, but AW will also provide some.

What you'll walk away with: A new teleportation skill that lets you teleport to mushroom circles by using mushrooms, 5000-15000 councils, and a new alchemy recipe.

We'll meet at Serbule well on Sunday Feb 21st starting around 1:00 and head out close to 2pm server time. From there we'll open a portal to near New Prestonbule Caves in Gaz. In New Prestonbule we'll pick up a quest from one of the npcs that involves finding a certain mushroom man. I'll be bringing some mushrooms to give to Hemmit for his other quests. Then another portal will be opened to somewhere else in Gaz will be opened and we'll walk to Sem's cave. I'll dole out some favor items to help you unlock the base skill when we get to Sem so if that's it for you, you can head from there, but if you stick around we'll do Sem's three quests and then return to New Prestonbule to turn in his quest for an additional 5000c.

As we are an Akhisa themed guild (goddess of spiders and patience) there will be dispensers provided for free Spider and Un-Spider juice as well as a raffle for some spider themed items.

His quests are just kill quests within the little cave there. I'm not sure exactly how many kills off the top of my head, but its probably around 10 slimes and 10 snails in Sem's cave and then a named slug. Doing those quests gets you to Friends and unlocks the base recipes bind and mycena recall.

Sem offers new mushroom tele recipes up to Like Family and likes cranium powder, heartshrooms, and blue gems. According to the wiki's favor hints it would be something like 1 full stack of blue gems or heartshrooms OR 35 enhanced cranium powder to get them all. We will be providing some free enhanced cranium powder to participants which usually gets everyone to Close Friends, but depends on participation and how much of the stuff we can gather in advance.

the thing to do would be to bind to the mushroom circle in Sem's cave, and then you can go back to it to get more favor and more recipes.

The zone we'll be in is lvl 70, but we'll be carving a path through to complete the quests so any levels are welcome - we've run with much lower than 50s before. The only requirement is lvl 15 myconic as its needed to talk to the npc.

Also, Monger was kind enough to donate two custom inscribed Monger's boon which we will be including in raffles prior to the event starting (Raffles will run from 1:30-2:30 server time) See you all in a week :D

It should be mentioned that you need some (though not many) levels in Teleportation to learn the recipes from Sem (Level 4 to learn the basic bind and first return recipe).

I think your numbers are slightly off. Each enh cranium powder is 35 favor. It's 2000 to Like Family.

300 from the quests leaves 1700 = 35*48.57, or 49 enh cranium powders to Like Family, though it will be fewer since there is bonus 'Favor Earned from Gifts', depending on people's civic pride levels.

oh yes - I'm guessing the 35 was me copying over the wrong number to the post since it is the favor per. Good catch. Also didn't realize that on the teleportation requirement good to know!

Thanks everyone who turned out for the event - it was a HUGE success, our best one yet! We had quite the turn out and much appreciated support from players not in the guild just there to help move things along which we are always grateful for. This game's community is by far one of the most engaging and kind groups of players I've gamed with. For anyone that missed it we will host this again, but not for another 3-6 months. In the mean time I'm scheming up a new event probably in about a month so keep your eyes peeled.
