Does anyone have any experience in using the ability Fast Talk? How is it best used, what situations do you use it? Any value while soloing? Any feedback would be appreciated

The idea behind Fast Talk is pretty self explanatory. It lowers your taunt, meaning that enemies are less likely to attack you. Basically the idea is that if you have too much aggro and are going to die from it, you can use it to hopefully cause the target to switch to one of your party members instead of you.

In theory the most practical uses for something like this in an MMORPG is if you do far too much damage or healing but cannot take many hits so you fast talk to lose aggro, or if you're tanking and you want to tank swap so you fast talk to make whoever has the second most aggro start tanking (Hopefully your off-tank).

In Project Gorgon however the skill isn't particularly useful however. If you're running psychology then your damage probably isn't high enough over other players to warrant running a taunt reducing skill, and psychology isn't very good for group tanking at end game. You can build Psychology towards healing, but the way taunt works with healing is that the target being healed is what gets aggro, not you, so unless if you end up pulling aggro right at the start of combat and want to divert the mob immediately it won't help you.

You CAN potentially get crazy spike damage if you have a high critical multiplier and crit with something like You Were Adopted, but chances that you keep aggro with just that are pretty low. Still it might be one of the few uses behind the skill, but not really worth building around if you ask me.

Otherwise, when soloing it can reduce enemy rage by 1800 points, making it the second or third best skill for reducing rage behind Soothe and Psychoanalyze. Furthermore if you're running a pet class like animal handling, you can potentially pull a mob, tank it for a bit and then use fast talk to direct the mob to your pet, which is significantly easier to control and take advantage of compared to controlling aggro with other players.

Thank you or the reply. That all makes sense. I will experiment using it with Animal Handling
