I thought with all those Threads with constructive and unconstructive Critisism a Thread about what we think is great about the game could not hurt.

I stumbled about PG by chance some days ago and have been playing a lot since.

I installed the demo because I was tired and just wanted to play around with something new, thinking that I would just uninstall again after 20 minutes which has happened with a lot of games I have tried especially F2P MMOs.

The vastness and depth of the skillsystem hit me like a truck and scratches that DND itch I have been having since we don't have time to meet up for Tabletop Games anymore.

I laughed so much when I died for the first time and discovered the dying skill, great twist.

I really like the Favor mechanic because instead of just doing all the quests because of the XP I feel like I am doing stuff for characters because I want them to like me and that just feels different.

I like that I am leveling whatever skill I am using and am not just getting XP off of quests.

I love asking skeletons about their mothers, generally love the whole humor.

This is also the first game ever where I like the elfs, I never play elfs, now I don't really want to play other races.

I am having so much fun with this game. Like I said I did not even plan to really play it. When I am tired I install games that are free like the demo, play for some minutes and then usually uninstall again. But PG is not getting uninstalled anytime soon and I want to say thank you for giving me a game that just feels fresh.

i had about the same experience when i first started to play 2 years ago. love the fresh take on fantasy and MMORPGs when all other MMORPGs i tried felt like the same plot in the same world where all the fun/goal was getting to endgame. plus the community was so nice and helpful when i started (and still is).

Strange - I posted in here yesterday and the post is gone. I notice in a couple of other threads that the last post or two have gone too, so it's not just me.

Anyway, to paraphrase what I said, I really enjoy the game too and I'm regretting not getting it sooner. To be honest, the demo was what drew me in. I always applaud games that have a demo, because when AAA games ask £50 for a pre-order for their latest title it just amuses me... that would be a big "no" from me.

I like the lack of hand-holding in the game which is a refreshing change and harks back to EQ in 1999. I even like that the Wiki is a bit patchy because you can't just look everything up and expect the info to be there at all. I hope the game goes from strength to strength.
