Hi There,

I'm more of a reader than a gamer and I'm hoping to check out some of her work, both curiosity and to see if any of it takes me in like this game did when I booted it up and explored the land, reading the in-game-books and the like.

There's plenty of different peopled named Sandra Powers out there and I can't find any Authers or Writers by that name, so I'm wondering if anyone (or Sandra herself) could point me to the right place.

Wishing you all well on your adventures

While you could say that I did some writing in PG as well as previous games, it was entirely code. :) I am a coder. Sorry to disappoint!

Edit: Although I am curious why you thought I did the writing.

Oh, I got you both mixed up in username, I apologise. Currently you are taking full credit for the dialogue in the game - http://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/Developers

I was looking for a desperate excuse to forgive this games politically charged hit-piece on those that choose to have self control around others. I mean, if I let my unpublished auther wife loose on something like this, we'd probably get similar results.

Oh well, the writing is quite good, I just don't like how the game attempts to make me feel bad and lumps me in with "them racists" for preferring people to keep their sexual escapades to themselves.

Best of luck, ciao

The wiki is edited by the public not by srand. She isn't taking credit for anything.

I assume what you are referring to is where it says "text" under Srand's name. That doesn't mean the game text. It is a placeholder that never got replaced. If you "View History" and look at the first version of that page, you will see that all of the developers just have their name (actually at that point it just said Dev1 Dev2 and Dev3) and then "text".

I appreciate you trying to put me right as I always would be. I was aware of your points and that's exactly why I pointed it out.

Still, I'd prefer to discuss other sources of Eric's writings than that. Or even the politically charged agenda. Something on the topic.

Kind regards

Awww, thanks Vish!

I can't claim to be the actual black magic coder in the family, though - that's Citan. My code work on PG has mostly been bug fixes and such on the client at this point. I've also been helping with other random grunt work - building some dungeons, mapping spawns, maps ... <shrug> I've done a lot of random stuff in my day - AC1 had such a shortage of staff when I was lead engineer there that all of us filled in for each other when we had to. (I made some quests I'm still vaguely proud of. I don't want to talk about the tsys boondoggle, though.) But I wouldn't call myself a designer either. I'm just a coder who is being forced ('forced') to do random grunt work because that's what's necessary right now. :)

10/10 on the wiki update

but still no idea on why you want to vehemently scare away your target audience in exchange for weirdos and plebs - the conservative gamers, as in ones that prefer conservation. That's supposed to be your target audience, but 10 hours in after they've already bought the game you let the gamer know they aren't welcome.

I quickly got an elf named "sicfuk" coming and standing in front of me when I made my previous topic, various factors made it pretty easy to link me to the topic thread, while I could divulge things about me to make a note that this isn't going to affect me, it's only worth pointing out that this guy is your target audience. Why would you do that?

random add in edit: "I'm certainly not toning anything down about their (honestly extremely tame) dialog"
------- Extremely tame? in comparison to what? 50 shades of grey? Pornhub? It's totally unhinged if you compare it to any other fantasy role playing game...

Well, that certainly isn't an allowed name. Did you submit an in-game abuse ticket about it? That's how those things are handled. You can submit about any type of ticket from in game by clicking the ! icon on the right bar.

Unlike probably everyone here - I am not a grass. I would only grass if the situation endangers someones life (providing they don't blatantly deserve it) or general wellbeing.

Games were better when there was no report function.

I closed the previous thread because this topic is not up for debate. Please stop restarting the "tone" debate, because it only causes flame wars. The tone of the game is not changing, and I'm not going to discuss it further with you.
