Cow: new treasure: Head: Chew Cud increases your mitigation versus all attacks by Elites +14 for 10 seconds
Cow: new treasure: Necklace: Stampede boosts your Slashing/Crushing/Piercing Mitigation vs. Elites +6 for 30 seconds (stacks up to 5 times)
Gorgon Explorer, which I believe gets its info from the game files, shows head pieces having the stampede mod and neck pieces having the chew cud mod. When I try and reroll a cow head mod, I can see the available stampede mod. My cow neck piece is bugged so I can't verify that end, but I believe either the update notes or the mod implementation got screwed up.
For what it's worth, far better for cow/unarmed to have the chew cud mod on the neck piece. Unarmed is a huge hog of head mods, you're basically forcing cow/unarmed to get a max enchanted yellow if you implement it the way it was put into the update notes.

The new Sun Vale is absolutely beautiful. I think that the island theme is a fresh take for new content, and we've been overdue for an underwater zone!
I had a max swim speed build before this patch, and topped it off with the new barter swim speed gear from Puffy Ben, and Urglemarg. Puffy Ben is also a great name. I am FAST in water, which has allowed me to collect a ton of resources!
It seems like flying and swimming are king on this map, as it's far more treacherous to travel across the land than the old Sun Vale. I enjoy that there is a rotating barter NPC, as well as unique gear that drops here, making it a solid place for people to farm an entire set for level 35-45.
I took notice of all the cool sunken ships/statues, and the entire map was a lot of fun to rediscover; Animal town, Winter Nexus, Puck, and the druid camp. The new NPCs and the addition of Bard Conch Creation is welcomed. Our first max enchanted offhand! Many Bards will be brandishing the crafted conch shell!
Some of the things I noticed after a few hours of fishing at warp speed was the ratio of Large Conch shells is VERY brutal, with a 90% fail rate on making a perfect conch. I see it taking days or weeks of farming, just to polish enough shells to have a dozen attempts at craft. Perhaps it's intended, but I plan on selling mine rather than rolling the dice on a 10% chance.
I also found that the Fae Auger Shell required for the level 80 horn dropped for me 5x as often as the Vertan Merex Shell needed for the 70 horn. Perhaps it's all as intended, just observations I noted.
The Sunken chest loot seemed a little weak for the 1 week cooldown. One chest did give me a 2 yellows and a spring, but the rest were reds for me.
That being said, I think this is my new favorite world map.
I really like the style of themed equipment from each new zone. Notably Rahu Sewers, GK, Ranalon Dungeon, FR, and now Sun Vale. It makes me wish we had this content when I was growing up! It makes me very excited for what's to come. (hopefully eyepatches and pig peg legs!)

Ok, I don't have much time latelly, but I jumped in for a bit today. I like new Sun Vale - its actual island now! it also looks very nice. A bit bummed by distance from Animal town to exit - I used to use collar teleportation to AT as shortcut to get back to Serbule from Fey Realm, but hey, it's not big deal. Will try to jump in and explore more.

Do the redemption codes expire? I'd rather hang on to the stuff for another character.

I think the sun vale rework is awesome, the new npcs and the huge amounts of sharks to cook is a really nice upgrade compared to before. We will miss those moving bacons but overall I think it was a good change.
The new recipes looks awesome but they look very hard to make with those low success chances, maybe it would be better to increase the cost and increase success rate? its just my opinion though.
PS: I really appreciate that bats can now fly in the casino!
