Projeky Gorgon is constantly updated, I was looking for some guides that would be current and I did not find anything similar. I am not a social worker, I need these guides for me - what I do not like is to learn after a long time that I am doing something wrong. I need good and trusted guides or advice. Alternatively, you can treat this thread as a collection of guides and stick it
I came across this idea after reading great OSRS Runescape tutorials such as the Runescape Thieving Guide (https://odealo.com/articles/osrs-thieving-guide-1-99-training-old-school-runescape)
and Runescape runecrafting guide (https://odealo.com/articles/osrs-runecrafting-guide-1-99-training-old-school-runescape). In general, Runescape (OSRS) seems to be a great game that can be a source of inspiration for many ideas that can be implemented in the Gorgon Project. Thank you and enjoy

In Serbule keep library, there is a book someone wrote with tips for beginner players. But you could always ask questions on global chat and usually get a few players that will answer it. Or of you are a demo player, lots of full access players monitor the demo chat and answer questions. Or you can ask here too but asking in game would be quicker.

Gday mate

These are the guides I have found to be very helpful

Basic guides
1) There is a good collection of beginner guides on the Project Gorgon Steam forum
https://steamcommunity.com/app/342940/guides/
2)There is also a good collection of hints/advice collated by experienced players, it is available in game, by accessing the library in Serbule (building in between Marna's shop and Hulon's bank)
3) A nice new player "walkthrough"
https://forum.projectgorgon.com/showthread.php?2610-New-Player-Speed-Guide

Intermediate guides
4) The official Project Gorgon wiki, a useful hint is you can readily open the relevant wiki page by typing into the chat "/wiki [topic of choice]", for example to looking up the page on Serbule, type "/wiki Serbule"
http://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/Main_Page
5) A couple of guides on making money in the intermediate levels
http://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/Making_Money
https://www.reddit.com/r/projectgorgon/comments/8mophj/mid_tier_farming_a_guided_tour_eltibule_and_kur/
6) Discussion of different types of armour and relative pros and cons
https://forum.projectgorgon.com/showthread.php?1260-Armor-types-Pro-s-and-Cons

Advanced guides
7) The most complete compilation of Project Gorgon mechanics, made by Telixnth. I only recently came across this and it BLEW MY MIND!!! Seriously, all players of whatever level of experience should have a read through it.
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1745547192
8) An interesting discussion of leveling the crafting skills, provides some hints about what is the most optimal (ie fastest) way to level some of them
https://forum.projectgorgon.com/showthread.php?1834-Crafting-thoughts-Blacksmithing-Mushroom-farming-and-others
9) Interesting discussion of the relative utility of various means of damage mitigation, turned into a bit of a verbal brawl at the end but some good points are made
https://forum.projectgorgon.com/showthread.php?2180-Estimating-the-Value-of-Mitigation
10) Guide on winning Monsters and Mantis (a game within the game, in the Red Wing Casino)
https://forum.projectgorgon.com/showthread.php?1787-SPOILER-Casino-Tip-How-to-Win-M-amp-M
11) Guide for leveling gourmand
https://forum.projectgorgon.com/showthread.php?2077-Power-Leveling-Gourmound-Using-Crafted-Food-Guide-Warning-Spoilers

https://forum.projectgorgon.com/showthread.php?2003-Animal-Handling-level-70-pet-stats-for-wiki

16) Special mention
if you get annoyed by the fact that when you mouse over a skill, the tooltip pop up covers your HP bar, try the following
Go to Settings (last button on right edge of screen)
Go to Special tab (last tab)
Type in the following "AbilityTipsX=-1"
Click Save
Now the tooltip will appear where your cursor is

17) Helpful in game channels
The Newbie, Curseremoval, and Demo channels are set up by experienced players looking to help out new players, to join the channel in game, type "/join Newbie", "/join Curseremoval" and "/join Demo"
ADDIT 01/09/20 the channels Newbie and Curseremoval seem to have died, which is a shame, but Demo is pretty active as as Help

External programs/apps
18) The build planner on Gorgon Explorer, allows you to make your hypothetical endgame optimal build
http://www.gorgonexplorer.com/build-planner
19) The almighty JSON parser, it is a specific program that scans the game files and gives you information on pretty much all aspects of the game, like recipes, armour stats, skill stats, etc

Great beginner's guide. Thanks for sharing. The list is very helpful for me. However, the Gorgon project was artistically weak. For example, games like Old School RuneScape (https://www.ssegold.com/rsgold) or Albion Online are charming and visually distinctive within the constraints of their simple graphics. As a result, areas feel unique and worth exploring.
