strange error

while being in Eltibule or Kur, i was getting this error:
[Error] Error: failed downloading SewerRat( Skin=Mat-SewerRat-Black,OnFire=y): Failed to load 'mat-sewerrat-black' from local installation

I have gotten this message about 6 times and I bug reported it and now posted it here

It looks like it's related to Fire Rats in Etibule. You might want to verify your steam files for the game (Right click on Project Gorgon in your library -> Properties -> Local files -> Verify Integrity of game files).

If that doesn't work, you might be able to work around it by lowering your graphics settings until there's a better fix. Is the error popping up when you try entering the zone or is it while you're running around?

i just noticed, Fire rats are florescent orange now

I already had this error but with spider. You just have to restart the game and it will be fixed. Just logging out is not enough.

Yaffy, i did what you said, verify integrity of game files, and i guess that fixed it.

Several months ago, I had a similar error that was complaining about not being able to download human eye lashes or hair or something like that (and humans did look a bit odd). Just restarting the game fixed it for me; I don't believe I ran a file verification. It only happened to me once ever and I have no idea what caused it.
