View Full Version : I have a confession...

So I have a confession.
I bought this game several days ago, played it for a few hours, then smugly asked for a refund and alt-tabbed to League of Legends (doing quests in WoW as I waited for games to begin).
But then I just couldn't stop thinking about it. For some reason these other games just weren't giving me that fix.
Yesterday, at some point, I exited both games, re-purchased Project Gorgon, and have been thinking about it and playing it and obsessing over it since.
Please accept this post as my public acknowledgement of my shame, and my vow to play the shit out of this game! This has to be one of the fucking most intoxicating games I've played in the last 10 years. I will accept all shaming as punishment for my crime.
Looking forward to grouping with you :D

LOL! Welcome to Project Gorgon! Glad you gave it that second chance. It is a great game and one of the best communities I have seen in a very long time.

I played WoW through late Burning Crusade and then fell off of it before WoL. Bounced around MMOs hoping to fill the void. Wildstar gave me hope, but we all know how that went. Other games would keep me enticed for a while, but I would typically fall off around mid game. Went back to WoW for WoD. Finally landed on Project Gorgon a couple years ago and feel the same joy every time I log on today as I did when I started. You'll hit walls here and there, but there's so much to do that if you get tired of one thing you just jump to another. You don't need to worry about doing everything in any one area before moving on - this game is designed to encourage/allow you to go back through zones over and over again.
Welcome to Alharth - know you're in good company.
Praise Enoyos!

I understand. It's because we are so used to cycling through games to appease our boredom that you immediately quit this one probably after thinking:
"What is this?"
"What am i supposed to do?"
"Why are the graphic so bad?"
In the end, the style and feel of this game with dredge up those nostalgic feeling of old MMOs. I think that's the real "magic"

That's an awesome confession, lol. And awesome replies to boot. In fact I had been leaning away from PC gaming with mouse and keyboard in the last year because even though I exercise, with age comes joint pain. My joints will get stiff at a mouse and keyboard more so than gaming with a controller, but I'm just powering through it because Gorgon is calling.
