View Full Version : Optimization Suggestions for Unplayable Graphis Lag in Serbule/South Serbule

Some time last year after a graphics update, Serbule and South Serbule became almost unplayable for me. I don't have these issues anywhere else in game and all other areas play fine. If I ID something, the ID box fills my entire screen. Most times, after spending more than a few minutes there, my computer freezes. I do play on an old laptop, but I never experienced these things until after that patch.

After being gone for a few months, I see there are some Advanced graphic options. Are there any suggestions to help with the lag? I've turned my settings down about as low as possible.

Thanks!

not sure if OptimizeMesh does anything in special input area now, but they also added SphereCull which might help (or hurt) your loading issues. I suggest playing around with lower (if possible) grass and tree draw distances and disable chat bubbles if you haven't already.

Try:
Screen Space Ambient Occlusion OFF/Disabled
All Shadow option o or disabled
Water Quality 0
Tree Draw Distance 0 !!!
Grass Draw Distance 0
Grass Draw Density 0
and try some experiment with
Camera Far Clipping Plane mayby start from 300?

i was playing at ancient Core2Duo E4400 2GHz processor and Nvidia GeForce 8600 512MB and 4GB RAM to end of beta test and game work fine even in Serbule (but on low res 1200x900 in windowed mode) on Linux (Debian based) (Serbule ~20FPS, Eltibule ~ 60)

so as long as u spend some time changing advanced graphic option u can play even at old computer that are under minimum requirements
