I was about to get into Gadgeteering (http://wiki.projectgorgon.com/wiki/Gadgeteering) and was unsure as to which NPC to make nice with as raising favor with one seems to decrease the other as stated in the Wiki.

Does anyone out there have any feedback on the pros and cons other than the list of items they train you in for going one over the other?

I know Ufkar does Calligraphy and Kohan does Sigil Scripting and Augmentation but other than that is there any in game benefit to having Raffle boxes Vs. Vendor boxes that might make this an easier decision.

Hmm..

Kohan: Vendor boxes, Sigil Scripting and Augmentation
Ufkar: Raffle boxes, Calligraphy and Augmentation.

The only difference is whether you want lottery boxes or vendor boxes that act like a temporary player stall and/or calligraphy (because you're Sword) or Sigil because you're not sword.
There could be a difference in what each one sells? I'm not sure tho.

Thanks @Asheron. I've had conflicting information sent my way on the time that boxes are deployed any chance someone has current deployment time for the boxes as in how long to they stay out there when used. If you also know what happens when they are done that would be handy as I'm not seeing it in the wiki right now.

Depends on the zone and the current amount of entities in it as far as I remember or so Rumm said, I'm a little fussy about the details as it is a while ago now.
At best it can 1-4 hours if the zone is low on entities (items), unlike in Serb where they are hard coded to only last 60min. If the zone is full on entities they will only last 60min.

Others will probably have a better answer for ya and I wouldn't count entirely on it being more than 2hrs (if the zone is empty devoid of entities). That's just a suspicion of mine in regards to what Rumm told the global chat 2-3 months ago.

No idea what happens if they don't sell out, though I seem to remember through my journeys that the NPC that handles player stalls holds the items and money gained.
