How to log in directly? Steam does not work

I purchased the game today through Steam.

Logging in through Steam locks the graphical resolution at 640x480 for some reason.

There is a launcher to log in directly which fixes the resolution, but it wants a username and password. My Steam credentials do not work there.

How can I log in directly so I can enjoy the game in a normal resolution?

Nevermind, found a workaround based on this post:

I navigated to the launcher, right clicked and went into Properties, then Compatibility, then Change High DPI settings, and then selected "Override high DPI scaling" set to the Application.

I hope this helps others with similar issues.

Thanks for posting the follow up with a resolution (pun intended)...seriously though, it can be really frustrating to stumble across a forum post seeing the exact problem you are encountering with no response or even worse just a "Got it working..." with no further explanation.
