Yeah, I saw you were being a total douchebag in chat. What is the exact point of bringing it to the forum, though?
(And the context that prompted that response was THIS specific bit of asshattery, from your long and tedious day full of asshattery:
Global: Vertabreaker: when dumb people ask the same dumb questions all day its more fun to string them along

Hello Citan.
The point of bringing it to the forum is obviously that he feels slighted in some way and wants to gain community support against his slight. For reference, I was there for some of the conversation, including what you referenced above. I do have an personal opinion about the level of maturity of Vertabreaker's comment and commentary; also I do acknowledge you have seen a day full of this kind of commentary from him (as did I).
Nevertheless, I'd like to make two points for your consideration.
First, on a human level, attempting to enforce civility isn't really practical or honorable. Attempt this you may, but succeed you will not. Civility is a gift. It ceases to become a gift when it is required behavior.
Second, attempting to control behavior and succeeding actually denies the rest of us the ability to observe the undesirable behavior. In short, we'd like to see who's an asshat so we know who not to interact with.
As an admin, this is your world and you will act according to what you see is best for your game. That's quite fair and expected and I won't debate that issue. I'd simply like you to consider the above two points and think about them when it comes to being an admin/mod.
Thanks for reading.

Yeah, sorry. I don't agree. It's really simple. Don't be a douche canoe or face remediation if you do. This isn't a free for all. This is a managed game service. If asshats are allowed to run rampant then I'm out and I don't think I'll be alone. No one wants to waste their game time putting up with that or having the community polluted.
It was a gentle warning to change course or face consequences. I appreciate that.

I respect that you don't agree. I am curious as to how you think this is simple? The criteria "douch canoe", "asshat", and even "cretin" are all arbitrary subjective standards. As I see it ... this is anything but simple; one person's comedy is another person's asshatery. Can you specify a clear, objective set of criteria in this regard? Try it!

I'm closing this thread because we do not as a general rule discuss specific disciplinary actions* on the forums. Vertabreaker, we are more than happy to discuss the specifics with you in more detail; if you'd like to do that, please send an e-mail to support@projectgorgon.com.
