Old school Kal online player here. I was looking at MMO's and this one tickled my fancy, it seems like a tight nit community is what this game has and thats what i've been looking for for the last few years.

Just a question though, is there any P2W related monkey business going on in this game?

Also would like to know if its in Beta or Alpha testing since ive creeped and got different answers.

No P2W shenanigans, you can dig around the forums or the wiki (which has archives of even older information) for dev responses on the topic, but the TLDR of it is that I wouldn't worry as they aren't in favor of the idea. There are plans for a VIP/subscription plan in the future much like traditional MMOs, but again based on old posts I am for one not too concerned about the benefits resulting in P2W scenarios.

To my understanding the launch of P:G on Steam is the start of Beta.

I went ahead and bought it, hopefully it wont stay in beta for more than 2 years.

As long as theirs no wipe Its all good i guess.
