Cartography should unlock Create Map Recipes: small, medium, large.
Usage: using a map item would reveal a section of the map based on its size and where it was mapped. It could grant Cartography xp as if you explored manually. So can be seen as an xp item as well. this is so you don't lose out on max xp gainable. If other ways to gain xp will be added such as getting xp for making map items, then there is no real need for using map items to give xp too.
Creation: The recipe can use ink and paper and require you to walk around to fill the map or be based on a long timer where you sit in one spot for a long time until the map object is done.
map creation time can be reduced based on cartography skill. ie. advanced recipe for Create Small Map (fast) or if taking walking based approach you can fill more per step based on your skill.
Alternatively, you can create items that display partial maps with images on them so you can use it as a guide but must still visit to reveal fog
spin off: map marker gems
craftable gems that use up one map marker to set a point on ur map or temporarily reveal a location on the map with an x similar to surveying. Can be used to share information about a secret location
spin off: tp scrolls or stones
craftable consumable items to tp you to a location
