Yeah, I have occasionally run out of Azalak's house in a panic because "whoa, there's a mantis in there!!" Sometimes I wonder if the mantises are just there to create a traumatic bonding experience for the players - I haven't met anyone yet who hasn't died to one. Or 50...

I kind of like the idea in the article of having a curse that turns a player into a mantis. That could be considerably too overpowered though. :)

Maybe it could be tied with a PvP potion so other players could mistake you for a mob...
